Pocketlight provides search capabilities for Mail.app mailboxes, iCal events, Addressbook.app records and files in a specified folder in Spotlight Style under Mac OS X 10.3.

We believe that Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) is a major innovative step in operating systems. The included technology Spotlight provides completely new ways to deal with the information we store in our computer systems. More details about Spotlight can be found at Apple's website.

Pocketlight was written before the release of Tiger and meant as a "limited Spotlight for Panther" that simply should shorten the time until the Tiger was ready.

The possibilities of PocketLight are of course very limited when compared to the Spotlight technology. Furthermore PocketLight is not an application launcher. (LaunchBar, QuickSilver and other cool apps manage these needs perfectly)

This is the final release of PocketLight. It will not be updated, enhanced or adopted for Mac OS X Tiger or later.
